World of Puppetry Museum

Sometimes you need a quick little road trip - nothing far, just a tiny adventure.  Today I went to Brigham City with a friend to see the World of Puppetry Museum.  Small town fun!  We walked into a practically deserted building and the volunteers were shocked to see anyone.  It's really a fun little museum.  We learned about the history of puppets in different cultures and were treated to a Punch and Judy show.

It was great fun talking to the puppets (interaction expected!) and watching the baby being thrown back and forth between them.

I wish I'd captured a photo while the lady was demonstrating the Reluctant Dragon puppet, which she had created.  His eyebrows were very expressive.

At the end we got to make finger puppets.

The volunteers clearly loved their work.  If you get a chance, check it out.  It's only open a couple days a month but they also do puppet shows in the park.  Then we drove to the Brigham City LDS temple and walked around the grounds.  The flowers were lovely.

Thanks for sharing - it's now on my list of fun things to do in the future. I've never heard of it either.
