I'm not even a big fan of milk. Raw goat's milk is good. My friend Sam has gotten me in the habit of drinking chocolate milk a couple times a week. I've been doing a lousy job at eating properly for the food allergies I tested positive for many moons ago. From Thursday-Saturday almost every single time I ate, I got awesome stomach pain. I normally try to limit the aggravating factors but I must have been failing.
Anyway, I've tried almond milk before. It's nasty. It's like water that vaguely tastes of nuts, and makes me feel sick. I really wanted chocolate milk, so I bought chocolate soy milk. I'm not a fan of ingesting much soy. Chocolate soy milk doesn't taste right. If you drink fast, it's close to okay. If you go slow or let the aftertaste hit you, something is off. I'll finish the carton but I don't think I'm ever buying it again.

I had to give up milk because I'm very allergic to penecillin. I probably could have switched to organic, but they didn't have much organic milk ten years ago. Anyway, I drank soy milk for a while, then I switched to almond milk. I really like it. There are a lot of different varieties. Maybe you should keep trying. Have you tried coconut milk? I have never really liked the taste of cow milk, so it hasn't been a big adjustment for me.
Oh man, I'm so sad about your dairy allergy! I hope you figure it out.
