Cow Appreciation Day

Today was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A. If you "made an effort to dress like a cow from head to toe," you could get any combo meal for free. They even had a few body parts and spots to print from their website to get you started, and many people did the bare minimum and still got food.

I decided to make a shirt rather than pin on spots, since I had a shirt in the thrift store pile. It took a little doing to make the spinner, but it worked!
Here we are all decked out, including our lovely snouts (or as I say it, schouts).

We wanted the cats to feel included.
Picasso was mad we didn't bring him any food and stomped off.

Love the costumes! I was thinking of you yesterday, wondering if you made it. I knew about it, but just didn't have the time to make the effort. We did make it to Deseret Village at This Is the Place for the free day. I guess we can't always do all the free stuff. Plus, I thought it was just a free sandwich - didn't know it was a whole combo meal.

Just looking at your blog post last year about free Chick-Fil-A. I remembered how awesome your costumes were and we were getting ours ready for tomorrow! It'll just be Josh, Aaron and I - the boys are at Macho Man camping. I'll be thinking of you and Nathan tomorrow while we're enjoying our free meal!
