My sister Janice was here over the 4th of July weekend, with her family. Life was busy on Saturday, the 3rd, so we invited our friends over on the 4th. Between us, we made punch, deviled eggs, coleslaw, baked beans, fruit salad, and potato salad. We played games, ate, set off legal fireworks, and watched neighbors set off illegal fireworks.
The men naturally clustered to the grill...
...and made chicken and scrumptious steaks, which were on sale.
We had dutch oven peach cobbler (and ice cream), which I adore.
There were a lot of shoes in the entryway....and I washed an awful lot of dishes over the weekend, despite using some disposable items. 
My niece had hours of fun with our friend's daughter. They ran around everywhere. They enjoyed the rocking horse my Grandpa Parker made.
One of our guests accidentally elbowed Sarah in the eye. Despite her keeping frozen veggies on it for hours, she got a black eye.
We had german oven pancakes the next morning, got the fam on the road, cleaned, and now I'm relaxing/recovering. So fun!
