This very handsome man took me out on a date for our anniversary.
We went to see The A-Team movie, and really liked it! Then we went to Olive Garden, where we had a gift card. Normally we skip appetizers to save money, and dessert because we're too full. This time we enjoyed appetizers, THEN dessert, and finally our entrees. I fully intended to take a picture of the luscious dessert, triple chocolate strata, but it was so good that I didn't remember until it was gone.
We got a comforter as a wedding gift and have enjoyed it pretty much year-round for the last 7 years, so the seams have frayed all over. Nathan's mom handed down another comforter recently, so we called it anniversary gift #1 and have enjoyed not getting our feet stuck in the rips.
And our extremely romantic (haha) anniversary gift #2 was fire extinguishers. We needed new ones but they're kinda pricey, so I bought them in place of a less-practical anniversary gift. Now I'll be able to remember when it's time to replace them, since it's not a random purchase date. :)

You're hilarious. Happy Anniversary!
Love those practical anniversary gifts. We bought towels one year because the morning of our anniversary, when Adam got out of the shower to dry off, he ripped his towel. Most of our anniversary 'purchases' are practical things too. You don't ever feel guilty about those purchases. And I love the idea of dessert before the main meal. That's the way to celebrate!
