I want to be a missionary now

We had a Primary activity today. We asked people from the ward to talk about what it was like in the place they served as a missionary, and what it's like to be a missionary. We started out by giving each child a name tag with a colored dot indicating their mission.

We then boarded the "plane" and our flight attendants gave the instructions in case of "emergencies" in life, such as reading scriptures and praying. They then handed out peanuts as we started the in-flight movie.

As the plane landed in each new country, we dismissed a group of missionaries.

After the flight home, the missionaries serving in our area spoke to us for a few minutes. Then we wrote letters or drew pictures for the missionaries from our ward who are currently serving in other areas. Finally, we had homemade churros. Yum!

Fortunately we had some help in cleaning up our mess...

I haven't decided if I want to go to Uraguay, Paraguay, or California. I hope they call me on a mission, when I have grown a pound or two. I hope by then I will be ready to teach and preach and work like missionaries do.
After today, I was thinking maybe the South Pole would be nice (and cool).
Keep up the good work!

I'm so glad we pulled this one off! I think the kids had a fun time. I was also very grateful for all the participation we had from people in our ward! Two activities down, two more to go! WAHOO!
