Thanksgiving

Nathan had to work Thanksgiving Day, but for dinner, we went to the Sherratt's home (our friend Brice's parents). I think it was the most elaborately decorated Thanksgiving table I've ever seen - goblets with fruit in 7-up, multiple forks, individual salad plates, 3 kernels of corn by each plate, etc.

The next day, we flew to Texas for a happy friends reunion! Chris and Christine live in Hutto (near Austin) and Danny drove out (he's the only one still in CA). We had Thanksgiving on Saturday, courtesy of Honey Baked Ham (they had gift certificates), and had fun hanging out for a few days. It was really nice to get away and our flights were uneventful.

I flew back just barely in time to enjoy the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. I went with Brice, because Nathan was still in Texas. It was amazing! They had great lighting effects and the music was just amazing. Here's the funny part of the night... we didn't plan very well for parking, so neither of us had cash. We were in a rush, so we parked at the mall and figured we'd hit an ATM for cash. The only ATM we found was not functioning but we thought maybe the parking garage would take debit/credit. Nope. The attendant had to fill out a receipt due within 5 days and demanded everything but Brice's firstborn child! It was hilarious. We had to show his license, provide his current address, provide his license plate number, show the registration, and get harassed because the registration address wasn't his current address. By the time we escaped, cars behind us were honking, I was laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation, and Brice was annoyed. Oh well.
