Laundry detergent

I love my front-loader washing machine. It uses so little detergent. I can't even remember how long it has been since I bought detergent. Probably at least a year, since our Costco membership has been expired for quite some time.

Anyway, I'm almost out of laundry detergent and I've been trying to cut back on chemicals in our home. I have been looking into two options - homemade detergent or "green" detergent purchased from a WAHM (work at home mom). Cost wasn't really the issue, although you can make your own detergent very inexpensively. I asked Nathan and he didn't care, as long as it works.

I just bought two samples from this company. I got tea tree and grapefruit (not mixed together) essential oil scents. That innocent word on practically every personal product - fragrance - is a disguise for nasty chemicals that can mess up your body. So I'm thrilled to have detergent with a yummy smell that comes from essential oils and not chemicals.

I'll let you know how I like it! Crunchy mini-lecture over!

P.S. It would have been so much easier to finish this post if Echo hadn't decided to sit directly in front of the monitor. Punk.

It is also nice with the "green" soaps that they are not petroleum based! :) I use 7th generation because it works well is offten on sale and I can find coupons most often for it. Target has started selling it too, but I have not checked the price! But I do keep a bottle of "Allen's Naturally" around for the fuzzy-bunz diapers!
