Trust in God's timing and promptings

Tonight I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes: "God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore, it is vital that we serve each other in the kingdom."

I got home after a trying day and my visiting teacher called.  She was clearly frustrated that she has tried so hard to find me at home to deliver a treat, and I've been gone A LOT.  She came over and I went outside in jammies.  She told me how she had thrown together a spiritual message and bag of chocolate at the beginning of September, and had been trying for weeks to find me at home.  What she didn't realize was that I didn't need it for all of September.  I needed a hug and some chocolate right then.  God's timing is perfect.  It can be really hard to see this while you're in the midst of trials.  Tonight though, Chauna served me exactly when I needed it.  I was too stubborn to call and say, "I need you," but Heavenly Father sent a friend anyway.

Love that! It was probably frustrating to her to not have you home, but glad it worked out when YOU needed it. Thanks for sharing.

Cool story, Cherish. I'm Chauna's visiting teacher.
