Cake decorating

Someone in my group of friends was throwing himself a birthday party and I volunteered to make a cake. Then he decided he wanted the party to be Batman-themed, and somehow I convinced myself that meant the cake must also be themed. The problem is that I've never decorated a cake. The internet told me I could frost the cake yellow, print and trace a Batman logo, then fill using a star tip.

I knew Mystery Man's mom decorates cakes, so I asked her to give me a crash course and loan me the supplies. She was kind enough to do so a couple days in advance. I forgot to print the logo at work, so I pulled it up on my laptop, held wax paper to the screen, and delicately traced the outline with marker.

I'm very proud of my first attempt at cake decorating!
