Update

I'm sorry I've been so absent and that I haven't been sharing yummy food pictures. I've been having some emotional struggles and honestly haven't been doing much cooking. Thank goodness for those homemade freezer meals and our abundance of free Chick-Fil-A coupons. I'm doing better and I hope to start posting more frequently soon.

For those who don't know, I got a new position at work and just completed my first week. I'm now a trainer for the group I used to be in, and I have a new boss. I'm now salaried instead of hourly; I got a sweet raise (we're so blessed!); I get a laptop and phone (the smartphone has been fun!). Oh, and I now share a cubicle that has a window! Having natural light really helps me, especially in the winter. I'm also feeling more rejuvenated about work and that's so nice.

The sad part is that I have a friend at work and we both interviewed for the same position, but when he learned I got it, he pretty much stopped talking to me. I understand where he's coming from - he's just as burned out and desperately wants to escape the team, but I hate it's come between us. Maybe there's something else causing it and I'm misinterpreting, but hopefully it will blow over soon.

Nathan's doing well in school, spring is coming, and we're incredibly blessed. :)

Congrats on the promotion! That's so great! I hope sitting my a window helps. My nurse midwife just decided that I'm probably not getting enough sun so she put me on a vitamin D supplement. No idea if it's working yet though since it's only been three days.

Congratulations on the promotion! That is fantastic. Also, the window thing. That is awesome too. I remember working at starcrest where there were no windows. It was so depressing! Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the uplifting update. The weather this past week has hopefully helped too. It's been great telling the boys to go play outside and hearing less screaming and teasing in the house. Too bad it's not here to stay.
