I made round rye bread the other day and Nathan made a sandwich (often referred to as sammich in our home, as in, "Woman, get in the kitchen and make me a sammich!" [Direct quote from our friend who once said that to his mom, who threw something at him and then, surprisingly, followed instructions.]). But Nathan didn't cut the bread in half, so they were very large slices. And then he completely covered the bread in pickles before adding ham. For some reason I thought it was so odd.
