The bounty of summer

I just love summer. Yeah, it's hot. But the mornings are beautiful. The nights are magical. Nature's bounty? Well that makes it all worth it right there.

I'm drinking a strawberry-raspberry milkshake. The strawberries are from my garden. It's the perfect way to use up berries that aren't quite good enough to eat plain.

I'm about to make stir-fry for dinner. I'm going to use broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, green onions, chard, and yellow bell pepper. The onions and chard are from my garden.

I counted my green bean plants last night. They're just getting started but as of last night I have 59 plants. I'm looking forward to canning!

The weather's been weird this year so my fruit trees won't produce much, but in my back yard I have cherries and pears on their way to looking yummy!

Can you come to my house and cook? I am so jealous of your garden. If I didn't live in an apartment I would so plant fruits and veggies.
