Last night I purchased herb plants to start the herb beds in front of our house. They're all planted and well-watered and I'm in love with them. I couldn't resist tasting each of them, even before they had a chance to catch their breath from sitting in a nursery. I don't know that I'll ever be able to go back to old, dried, flavorless herbs in a bottle. I hope they all survive!
My mom had suggested that I get sage and learn how to cook with it, and I have to say it tasted really good. Here's what I have (including my existing plants).
Rosemary
Sage
Cilantro
Peppermint
Lavender
Basil
Lemon mint
I'll put pictures when they get a little bigger.
